A number of new proposals are being considered to help improve the popularity of Serie A in Italy including changes to the weekly kick off times next season.
Next season games could be paid on Friday Night, Saturday lunchtime, Saturday evening, Saturday night, Sunday afternoon (3 matches), Sunday evening, Sunday night and Monday night.
The benefits for football trippers is that the wider spread of kick off times means that you might be able to see several games over the weekend. The risk is though would seem to be the Monday night game which means an extra days holiday to see that game.
The 2017-18 Serie A season will run from August 20 to May 20, but the winter break will be postponed to January.
The big change is that the Winter break will be postponed to January.
That’s because there will be Serie A rounds on December 23 and December 30, then the traditional January 6 games to mark public holiday La Befana.
After that, no more top flight matches until January 21.
There will also be three midweek rounds on September 20, October 25 and April 18.
